JoelComm.com - How Not To Acquire New Clients

How Not To Acquire New Clients - A Case Study in Smaato.com

It's not uncommon for me to receive emails, phone calls or inquiries via social media, asking if I am interested in working with a company, product or service.

Unless the message is canned spam, I usually don't have a problem receiving this messages. More often than not, I am not interested and just delete them.

The worst ones are those where someone is looking for me to promote their product or service, and they begin by telling me how much money I will make doing so. There is no attempt to ask me what my needs are, only the attempt to use me for whatever perceived benefit they think they could receive by associating with me.

Not good.

I recently received a solicitation that came in a form so egregious that I thought I would share it with you.

Joel gets a job... but where?

Hey My,

If there is one thing I have learned about life, it's that
change is inevitable. Nothing stays static. Life is dynamic.

The changes in my life have led me to an interesting place. I
didn't see it coming and wouldn't have planned for it. But
nevertheless, life has a way of unfolding before us.

Businesses come and go. Relationships are fragile. Uncertainly
lurks with each new morning. As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say,
"It's always something."

It's great when all pistons are pumping and our lives are free
from crisis and/or drama. But those seasons are few and far
between. Crisis and/or drama is more likely to exist in some form
than not. We find ourselves in transitional times. These are the
"in-between" places.

The key to not only surviving, but thriving, in those in-between
places, is the choices we make when we find ourselves neither here
nor there.

Want to discover one of the choices I made during this time?

... and discover where I took a part-time job!

I look forward to your comments.

It started with a strange email...

Hiya My,

It all started when my friend received an UNUSUAL email a couple
months ago.

This page reveals all the details:

http://bit.ly/greatplr

(You'll even see the actual email)

That unusual email started the ball rolling.

Long story short, that email ended up in my friend spending $25,000
on something he didn't even need.

The good news is that YOU can benefit from it right now, to the
tune of a $25k advantage!

You'll understand everything when you see this:

http://bit.ly/greatplr

I recommend jumping on this right now, because this kind of thing
does NOT happen very often.

Why I dislike Private Label Rights offers

Hiya My,

What are "private label rights"?

Private label rights (PLR) is a concept used in Internet Marketing
where the author sells most or all of the intellectual property
rights to their work. This usually includes web design, sales
letters, digital products, graphics and so forth.

From my observations, the vast majority of products offered as
PLR material are a colossal waste of time and money. The reason
being that the products are dated and not worth using or reselling
in the first place. Others are just a huge bundle of content that
most marketers will likely never use.

I regularly am presented with offers from those who create PLR
material and want me to share it with you as an affiliate.

Ninety-nine times out of one-hundred, I say "no."

However, there is one person who understands how to bring real
value to PLR offers. He is my friend, and former joint-venture
partner, Eric Holmlund.

I am presenting this offer to you today because I believe Eric has
hit a home run with it. There are two things you should know
before I go any further.

1) This is a ready-made product that is timely, valuable, and
I believe, quite sellable.

2) It is NOT in the typical Internet marketing niche. That makes
it even more unusual for me to get near it.

3) I bought it myself before I ever considered sharing it with you.

Eric paid $25,000 for this product and could have done whatever
he wanted with it. He could have resold it himself for hundreds
of dollars per sale.

He choose, instead, to offer it as PLR. And he did it at a price
the continues to blow my mind!

As you'll see on the page, he is...

-NOT selling any magic push-button solutions.
-NOT making any crazy income claims.
-NOT spewing a bunch of hype.

There's a very simple reason why he's sharing this $25k purchase
with you, and he explains it all here:

http://bit.ly/greatplr

Eric IS going to end this offer on January 28th. He doesn't do
false scarcity. When he says it is over, it is over.

If you are looking for an incredibly cheap way to build a
supplementary business that could generate more cash for yourself,
AND, if you intend on following through by putting up this simple
site by following Eric's instructions, this is a PLR product that
you will appreciate!

Certainly you are curious by now. Go ahead and check it out at:

http://bit.ly/greatplr

Thanks to Eric for providing another great product and opportunity
for my readers!

Do good stuff,

Joel

P.S. - I've downloaded all the components for the product since I
purchased it yesterday. Now I need to register a domain and get
a site up.

P.S.S. - Yup, I'm an affiliate for this product and may earn a
commission on your purchase.

P.S.S.S. - I think two P.S.'s is plenty. I tossed this one in
just to mess with you. ;-)

Who are YOU related to? Here's my connection...

Hi My,

No business lessons or marketing today. Just something I think
you will find interesting.

It's a small world, after all. At least that's what
we've been told.

With the rise of social media, we are more connected than ever
before. At least that's what we are being told.

But there are some connections that neither the population of the
world nor your number of followers on Facebook can influence. Those
are your family connections.

It's true that you can pick your friends, but you cannot pick
your family. I find it interesting to look through the family tree
(not passing by the woodpile) and discovering people with some or a
lot of notoriety.

I am connected to a person that was "born to be wild."

Want to know who it is? Read on, and then tell me who YOU are
related to!

I outsource smart! Do you My ?

Hi My ,

Happy New Year 2013! I hope this year finds you reaching more of
your business and relationship goals.

Growing your business can be daunting. As entrepreneurs, we often
find ourselves wearing many hats. After all, if we don't do the
job, who will?

After many years of doing more tasks than I could handle, I finally
woke up to the beauty of outsourcing.

I found some great options for paying others to do tasks that I
either didn't do well, or didn't have the time to do myself.

At one point, I had FIVE people I outsourced everything from
support and customer service to writing and content creation.
That's just a small part of what a cost-effective outsourced
expert can do for you!

http://bit.ly/outsourceplus

Who did I use to outsource my tasks? 123Employee.com, owned by
Daven Michaels.

That's why I have the authority to endorse Daven's new book...

"Outsource Smart."

Why is this so important?

Because anything that has to do with your business that SAVES you
time and money AND LEVERAGES your time and makes you money is
important.

Otherwise, why be in business to begin with?

Daven reveals all the strategies that took each of his many
businesses, and those of his clients, from startup to prosperity.

This book is on target to become a NY Times Bestseller.

I recommend that you grab this book NOW as part of your smart
entry into the new year.

http://bit.ly/outsourceplus

When you do, you'll get an amazing piece of easy to use software
absolutely free!

It's called, "Facebook Miner," a stellar lead generation
tool that captures thousands of leads that are already
primed and ready to devour your content, subscribe
to your list, and buy from you.

PLUS, you'll also get 27 Facebook training tutorials. So all you
have to do when you get "Outsource Smart" and "Facebook Miner"
is give the FB videos to your virtual assistants, and let them
set up your entire lead gen system for you!

Daven is one smart dude. He built a multimillion dollar outsourcing
company, 123Employee, in a very short time. He knows a thing or
two about delegating, saving you money, and making you money.

Pick up a copy of his new book, "Outsource Smart."

It's the smart thing to do!

http://bit.ly/outsourceplus

Do good stuff,

Joel

P.S. If you don't have a virtual assistant yet, you can use the
software, generate a TON of business and then with all the money
you make you can get a virtual assistant to help you out!

P.P.S. - I have used Daven's services for a number of years and
am pleased to endorse his book as an affiliate. I may earn an
