Joel Comm Weekly Update
July 7, 2016
---------------------------------
One of the biggest things many of us struggle with is consistency. Getting things done on some sort of regular schedule can be extremely challenging given the number of tasks on our plate.
I've discovered that keeping up with my subscribers is one of my areas that I struggle with. I'm putting all kinds of free content out there, but without letting you know where to find it, many are missing out on things that would be very helpful to you in your business and life.
So, with no sexy subject lines... no clever copywriting... and a desire to serve you as best I can, my goal is to produce a weekly newsletter featuring a round-up of the content I am creating for you. Rather then send you one item several days a week, this digest will serve as a simpler form of communication.
The difference is that you'll want to take time to go through each of the links so you don't miss anything.
With that said, here's what you'll find useful this week...
1) Why you should be all-in on live video streaming
Facebook and Twitter continue to go head-to-head with live video, and YouTube will soon be launching a way for their users to broadcast live through the YouTube app. Can Microsoft/LinkedIn, Yahoo, Snapchat or others be far behind in their quest to take a piece of the live video pie?
To put things in perspective, what we are seeing happening now is very similar to when cable television launched and networks will springing up to seize their share of the marketplace.
The live video apps ARE the new television and the race is on.
You've got to know which apps are available and where the opportunity is at. That's why you MUST be engaged in the conversation.
I've set up a closed Facebook group that is quickly becoming the go-to location for the important news and discussion around this topic. In just a few months, we've attracted about 3500 people to this group and it continues to grow.
Since it is a closed group, you need to request access. To do so, go to:

2) I have NOT abandoned recorded video!
In spite of all the talk about live video, know that recorded video is NOT going away. Remember that all your live videos then become replays which can be repurposed many ways.
And YouTube has remained a consistent source of traffic and engagement for over a decade.
In fact, I am regularly creating videos for YouTube on my channel at:

Until next week...
Do good stuff!
